Our Coaches
Our Mission is to motivate, inspire and teach kids to succeed through the highest level of gymnastics training and competitions. Along our journey we will produce many great gymnasts but more importantly individuals who have learn how to succeed in life. Rick DeSantis, Christain Gochenour and Dan Petritis are the co-owners of Stars Gymnastics Tampa which was created in September of 2008. In a very short period of time many great accomplishments have come to pass but this is only the beginning of what is still to come.

Rick DeSantis
Rick has been coaching gymnastics for over forty years. The first twenty of these years were in the Pittsburgh area. His team was know as the Sunset Twisters and they competed throughout the country seeking out the highest levels of competition. In 1985 Rick was recognized by the Pennsylvania Coaches Association for his outstanding contribution to the sport of gymnastics. In 1988 Rick and his wife Linda moved to Florida and settle in Tampa. After a few years Rick took on a position at Lafleurs of Largo with Mike and Melody Lafleur and a dynasty was in the making. For more than ten years numerous state and individual banners were hung in the gym. Many of these same gymnast as well as his gymnast from Pittsburgh went on with their careers in the college ranks. Rick's greatest sense of accomplishment is realizing how many young lives his has affected. Many still keep in contact often stating how training to be the best they could be for all those years laid down the ground work for some very successful careers.
Christain Gochenour
Coach Christain Gochenour has been coaching for more than sixteen years both in Chicago and in Florida. Christain has an extensive and diverse background in dance, developmental gymnastics, recreational and optional gymnastics. While in Chicago He was a member of a performing circus, several dance companies and a competitive gymnast. Christain has coached with Olympic and World Champions Svetlana Bouguinskaia, Courtney Kupets, Carly Patterson, and Shannon Miller.
Dan Petritis
Dan Has been coaching for more than ten years both in Chicago and Florida. Dan competed for the University of Illinois and also distinguished himself by qualifying for the NCCA Championships on both vault and floor exercise. He has coached every level of gymnastics including: preschool, developmental classes, recreational classes, boys competitive teams, and both girls compulsory and optional competitive teams. Dan has also worked alongside World and Olympic Champions Svetlana Bouinskaia, Courtney Kupets, Carly Patterson. and Shannon Miller.
Corinne Huston
Pre-Team, Levels 3, 4 and 5 Team Coach
Corinne has been involved in gymnastics for the past 13 years and has coached for the past 5. Her favorite event in gymnastics is Floor. In her spare time, she love the beach, boating, and visiting her family in Orlando. Corinne is currently double-majoring in Business and English at USF.
Emery Johannes
Pre-Team, Levels 3, 4, and 5 Team Coach.

Sasha Pichardo
Pre-Team, Levels 3 and 4 Team Coach
Sasha started gymnastics at the age of 4 and worked her way all the way to Level 9. She has been coaching gymnastics for the past 5 years and is currently attending HCC and majoring in Medical Assisting. Her favorite events are floor, bars and vault and her favorite Olympianis Shawn johnson In her spare time she enjoys shopping, working out, going to the beach and hanging with her family .
Angela Trucksess

Justina Guggino

Amanda Adjety
Parent-Tot Gymnastics and Recreational Instructor.
Amanda began gymnastics at the age of 10 in Virginia and remained active in the sport though collage. She has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and Exercise Science, as well as an Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance. She loves working with kids and especially likes beam and floor. In her spare time Amanda like to draw, paint and dance.
